Personality: Ayasegawa Yumichika is a man who projects a very definite image to everyone around him. That image, generally, is of a petty, effeminate narcissist who never learned to keep his smart mouth shut.

It’s true, of course, but it would be foolish to dismiss him simply based on that. While flighty and quick to judge others based on their appearance, he himself is much more than his pretty face, stylish clothes, and discontent with the less beautiful aspects of life suggest. (And really, who can fault him for a little bit of narcissism? If they were as lovely as he, he’s certain, they’d likely be just as bad. Worse, even.)

Yumichika is brave, and has a strong sense of pride; he rarely shies from dangerous situations. He tends to associate with people whose recklessness overshadows his own, so this trait often goes unnoticed. He can be very calculating at times, especially when there are important things to take care of, and when he is trying to protect his image.

He is very expressive, often emotional. Fleeting thoughts and surface emotions are rarely, if ever, kept to himself, whether they’re angry, joyful, contemptuous, or anything else. Deeper thoughts and lasting emotions, though, he tends to keep inside, only releasing to select, close friends. His loyalty, once given, is near absolute (though that won’t stop a little harmless teasing, now, will it?) Friends are very important to him, when they come, and he will protect those few whom he truly cares about with everything he has at his disposal.

Magical Companion: It really came as no surprise that Yumichika chose a phoenix-- None of the others were beautiful and capable of burning things to a crisp even as they died. He named her Akemi, bright beauty, which she seemed quite pleased with. She is affectionate, but always gives those interacting with her a vague sense of distance, as though she feels superior to them. Certainly, she has a bit of trouble regarding the whole “orders” thing and the need everyone seems to have to follow them. However, she means well, and usually gets around to doing the right thing eventually. She likes to fly by Ayasegawa’s window and bother him whenever she feels that she hasn’t been paid enough attention.

Basic Form - Ayasegawa's magic conductor takes a rather unusual form: a light, etched silver hairdryer. In addition to providing quick fixes should anything happen to his hair in the field, it is also capable of firing blasts of condensed air that can knock an average man to the ground at thirty paces. His aura is a deep, rich purple color.
Risen Form- The hairdryer's nozzle extends to around three feet in length and narrows slightly, so that the hole is more almond-shaped than round. The bottom side of the nozzle gains an edge, with the end result being that the hairdryer has turned into a combination broadsword and airgun.
Divine Form- Unknown.

Battle skill levels:

Agility (Shinigami-Seated Shinigami)- Yumichika is very fast, with good reflexes. He's often able to dodge blows and much of his skill as a fighter comes from his ability to strike before and more often than the enemy, not harder than them.
Magical Strength (Lesser Shinigami-Shinigami)- He has a lot of mental strength, and once he starts using spells, will be able to do so quite effectively.
Vitality (Talented Human)- Yumi relies primarily on speed to survive attacks; Most normal humans will have a hard time hurting him, but trained or skilled fighters and non-humans can cause a lot of damage.
Energy Reserve (Competitive-Talented Human)- While his spells are generally quite effective, he has trouble fighting with magic for an extended period.
Brute Strength (Athletic-Competitive Human)- Yumichika isn't weak and pitiful, but neither is he particularly capable of causing large amounts of damage through force.
